Your school's data, handled with care

How TD190 handles the personal information schools, families and staff entrust to us.

The short version

Last reviewed [date — placeholder].

Who is responsible for the data

Each school decides what information it puts into TD190 and remains responsible for it. TD190 stores and processes that information on the school's instructions, and never uses it for our own purposes or sells it to anyone.

What is stored

Schools store the records they need to run: pupil registration and attendance, marks and reports, staff records, fees and payments, and messages sent to families. Parents and pupils see only what their school has chosen to share with them.

Who can see it

Access follows the permissions each school assigns. A parent sees only their own children; a teacher sees only their own classes. TD190 support staff can see registration and activity needed to fix problems, but not marks, attendance or money — and every support action is recorded with a written reason.

How it is protected

Sign-in runs through a dedicated identity service with optional two-step verification. Every school’s records are kept separate from every other school’s, and all access is logged so it can be reviewed.

Keeping and removing data

Records are kept for as long as the school needs them, under the retention rules the school sets. A school can export a complete copy of its data at any time, and can ask us to delete data it no longer needs.
